8, 11, 59, 84

Ok so I've started to try to acomplish these tasks at hand and so far so good. My first task to blog about is #8 Getting on a Police Department. So far I've aced my written exam, smashed the physical agility test and now I'm waiting to hear about my B-pad test to see if I move on to the polygraph and interview portion. Now it sucks cuz its outta my hands and it's just a waiting game. The next one is #11 Buy a house. For those that don't know, I'm getting ready to buy a 2 bedroom 1 bath condo off of Cedar Road. I got it at a steal - $145,000 - and my rate is phenominal at 4.875%. I mean WOW! I never thought I would get anywhere near that unless it was in the ghetto. It's kinda outdated, but with the $8,000 Obama's giving me, I
can fix it up with ease. So far the only one I've completed is self-explanitory. It's the easiest one on my list but I just need to maintain it: #59 Start a Blog. This one was easy. Now I just need to blog! But with my list on there, it should help me blog at least once a week about my list and my life. Last but not least this one is probably just as easy but will take a lot longer to accomplish: #84 Put $20 in my savings for every task completed. Hopefully this will help me in my money saving issues and teach me to be better with my money and save instead of spending it on junk that I really don't need.

Sweet vacation

55. Visit Uncle Bear 3 times in a year (one down, two to go).

First and foremost I would like to take this time to thank Karen Cabral Bolina for the HUGE shoutout on her blog. For those who may or may not know, I have an 8 month old niece, Marcella Marie Carson. Since she was born in Italy and lives half way around the world, I've never seen her except for on the computer. Well, last weekend my brother, his wife and baby Marcella came into town for 2 weeks. We went down to Avon, N.C. in Cape Hatteras with my grandma, my 2 uncles and cousins. It was super cold when we got there, and the heater on our pool was broken up until we left, but we made do and still had a blast enjoying everyone's company and catching up. We got to do some four-wheeling on the beaches and relax in the hot tub, but it was so nice to be down there and away from the craziness of our city life. To view more pix visit my photo site.

Life is what you make it

Successes in life aren't measured in how many zeros are in your paycheck but what you accomplish and your happiness. My whole life, I have been constantly jumping over hurdles that have been thrown at me. I've learned to never let anything get me down, but instead, run full speed ahead at anything in my way to overcome the obstacle. I'm doing a 101 list but my list is going to be completed over a lifetime and I will keep adding stuff over the years - stuff I want to accomplish so hopefully one day, I can get to 1001. My grandfather told me before he passed to "Never let anybody tell you, you can't do anything. Always put your mind to something, give it 100% and you will be successful in life."
